Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mom was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing at an early age and often performed show-like puppets in front of the kids in her community. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6. McCormick had her first significant job when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play the play Wind It up and It Breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from among 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to be the youngest of three towheaded daughters on the new TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. The show ran for five seasons and The Brady Bunch was an enormous successful one. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick admitted that in the shows fifth season she almost lost her virginity to her screen brother and co-star Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice, that during season five on the show, she was close to losing her virginity to actor Barry Williams. It was likely that we would have a romantic romance, she said. However, the timing was not right.
